A little drivin rain won't dampen our spirits. Closing day is on. Rain ponchos, garbage bag people, mud slide contests and wet tee shirts... we are havin ourselfs a good time here with an incredible musical backdrop. Well... actually the stages closed due to lightning for a spell. But Robert Randolph has just taken to the main stage. I mean he has taken it over with a blistering opener. What a day ahead... what could be better than this closing day....Robert Randolph & TFB, North Mississippi Allstars, Michael Franti & Spearhead. Oh and some guy named Phil at the end.
Check out the live stream, keep comin back to this blog and put a little water spritzer bottle next to you and get a little wet after each song.

Lovin this blog, keep it up!
WOW!!! The webcast is awesome, the photos are great, and the blog is truly a "grateful deed". (I like that!) I just want to express some gratitude- THANK YOU for all those involved in making this happen. Really great job, much appreciated!
OH MY GOD...this has been the time of my life for the past 2 yrs that i have worked at this festival...even as i was walking in the pouring rain to pick up the garbage i had the most wonderful time.
anyway to ck out the webcast now that its not live?
Attended Mtn Jam for 3 days. The music by some of the smaller bands was better than Gov't Mule on Saturday and better than Lesh on Sunday. The base was too overpowering. Gov't Mule played repetitive chords, which became boring and Haynes domineered Lesh, which ended up as literally a jamming session without much audience feedback. The band just before Lesh had the crowd hopping, jumping and singing, and Lesh and company, played loud and lulling music. Very disappointed overall - the music last year was much better. And, Hunter Mtn - putting down hay on the last day at the end of the day did very little to assist the handicapped - NO EXCUSE for this Hunter Mtn. Maybe next year....
I had fun at mountain jam with a few exceptions. Mad people getting busted, faulty wristbands that fall off after one day of partying. Production needs to increase their budget on those crappy braceletts next year. Nothing bad to say about the music. Phil you are the man!!!!
I saw a lot of bands I had never seen before at Mtn. Jam, though reputations proceeded them! They were all spectacular!! I loved New Orleans Social Club & No MS All Stars, but have to respectfully disagree w/ anon. about the Mule and Phil sets --- they were the best!!! Who could be lulled by that? I couldn't stop dancing! As for putting hay down the last day...it was better than nothing! New York State is known for slick clay mud--that's life at an outdoor festival! However I did lose a very nice man slipping in the mud Sunday night...only disappointment of the weekend!
